Leader lead from the front!

Leaders must lead from the front in order to be effective. In the course of managing and making decisions, a leader is often apporached by those on the “team” who have oppinions as to how certain things should be handled. A leader’s job is to listen to all suggestions and give personal consideration weighing out all options and then make a decision based on the facts that he or she feels will best serve the greater good of all involved. Many times leaders make the mistake of soliciting the ideas of everyone on the team, and allowing them to make all decisions themselves. This my help to facilitate more dialogue and provide more useful data by which to sift through, but ultimately every body needs a head to give direction and a wheel to steer. Leadership therefore sometimes causes one to stand in an unpopular seat because of not being able to please every player. Nevertheless,  a great leader will respect the responsibilty of the position and through building relationships with the team members, should be able to gain the respect of the team. With this repect the team will follow the leader to Victory!
